Enabling Environments
The environment is considered by some to be the third teacher.
For me it's the first teacher!
Whatever your approach to care and education, your environment is part of how you deliver it. The environment underpins any routines, teaching styles and even the resources you choose for children to engage with. So whether your pedagogy is based on Montessori, Curiosity Approach, High/Scope, Te Whariki, (or a combination of all) careful thought needs to go into how you design your learning environment. The great news is that because I believe so firmly in the importance of the environment, I can definitely help you to decide what yours should look , sound and feel like. So from new nurseries just starting out, to existing ones who want to change things for their children and staff, I can coach, mentor and facilitate your thinking on your environment. From learning zones to the type of furniture, decor to toys and resources, all are important in delivering your curriculum and your brand image!

My commitment to sustainability is reflected in my practices, such as sending training materials electronically and donating to plant a tree for every session I deliver. I also encourage clients to consider their carbon footprint and explore recycling and upcycling options in their early years curriculum. Together, we foster a greener, more playful future!
MY STORY
Early Years Professional
I have been working in the early year's sector for over 45 years and specialise in supporting settings on their journey towards outstanding. I am passionate about delivering exceptional early years pedagogy and education, and dedicated to developing and maintaining child-centric approaches which deliver high-quality, progressive child care and education. I use my care and education, business knowledge and 10 years experience as an Ofsted Inspector, to carry out initial assessment visits. I then work with you to plan short, medium and long term actions to move your setting forwards. I can deliver training to staff teams, coach and mentor managers and am an accredited trainer in Schema Play, Education for Sustainable Citizenship in Early Years and the High/Scope Approach.
THOUGHT-BASED APPROACH
Need help in improving your setting? Not sure what areas will have most impact to improve practice? I use an array of skills to help you identify goals, create a clear plan of action and provide coaching services that give you the tools for success. In addition to 1-on-1 consultations, I deliver workshops and staff trainings to help you up-skill your team and provide outstanding outcomes for children.
Curious adults create Curious children so its important your staff team are knowledgable and skilled in supporting children's learning.
